The Boys & Girls Club Administers Two Scholarships

The Spence Reese Scholarship
The Spence Reese Scholarship is available annually to MALE students who are in their SENIOR YEAR in high school.

Four scholarships are awarded each year, one each in the field of:

  • MEDICINE
  • ENGINEERING
  • LAW
  • POLITICAL SCIENCE
Finalists may be required to attend a personal interview in San Diego, California. Travel expenses for the interview will be reimbursed by the Scholarship Foundation.

Average scholarship award is $2,000 per year for four years.

Applications must be received no later than April 15

Boys & Girls Club Foundation Scholarship
Must be graduating from a qualified high school in the Club's Service area.

Must enroll in 12 or more units at an accredited college or comparable school of higher learning.

Current or former member of the Boys & Girls Club of Borrego Springs, City Heights, Clairemont, Encanto, Escondido, Linda Vista, Oakes, Poway, Ramona, or Valley Center.

Average grant award is $1,000 per year for four years.

Applications must be received no later than April 15
