Youth of the Year ![]() Juan Gonzalez
Juan Gonzalez has been attending the Club for almost 4 years. When he started coming to the Club at age 14, he was very shy and rarely shared a smile. Today, he can be seen interacting with confidence and transmitting his positive attitude to others. He attracts his peers with his sense of humor and his sincere way of communicating. Juan is always willing to lend a hand at nearly anything that is asked of him. He is a member of both Keystone and PALS (helping members with disabilities), works in the Snack Bar and assists in the Teen Center. When he is not at the Club, you can find him volunteering with the Surf Rider Foundation, peer counseling with Father Joe's, and sprucing up the Cabrillo Monument. He attends Sweetwater High School where he is a member of the Principal's Honor Roll.
