Glamour Shots/Sleeping Beauty DVD Kickoff - Allied Entertainment sent the club posters, notepads, pens, masks and 3 DVD’s to give away to the members. Then the club held a “Glamour Shot” day and incorporated the items as giveaways and prizes for all who participated.

Marcus McNeill Visits the Club - Charger player Marcus McNeill came to the Clairemont Club on October 13 to kick off his support of the Greater San Diego Clubs. He ran drills with the members, spoke to them about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, staying in school and away from drugs and gangs.

Rubik’s Cube Madness- The Clairemont Branch received some electronic Rubik’s’ Cubes to play with, create games around and send feedback to the promoter regarding the toy. The kids have become addicted to them and want to play with the new toys constantly. They play as a passing game in a circle to see how far they can get the cube to go and individually as competitions or even 2-on-2.

Silly Fun! - Our new games room director, Elianne has put together some fun activities for the fall. First we had our beard making project so the kids could see what they might look like as they get older and may choose to grow facial hair. Then she set up a treasure hunt all over the Club complete with treasure maps, clues and prizes!

Clairemont Branch Youth of the Year Natalie Hamilton At Kroc Middle School, Natalie participates in ASB where she helps to plan upcoming school events. At the Club she participates in Keystone, Junior Leaders, and G.T.O. (Girls Time Only). She has been very helpful, dependable, trustworthy, hardworking, honest and is always upbeat. Natalie is kind to everyone and always asks how she can help. She is quick to show visitors around and helps out with any and all needs that staff may have.
