Glamour Shots/Sleeping Beauty DVD Kickoff - Allied Entertainment sent the club posters, notepads, pens, masks and 3 DVD’s to give away to the members. Then the club held a “Glamour Shot” day and incorporated the items as giveaways and prizes for all who participated.

Marcus McNeill Visits the Club - Charger player Marcus McNeill came to the Clairemont Club on October 13 to kick off his support of the Greater San Diego Clubs. He ran drills with the members, spoke to them about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, staying in school and away from drugs and gangs.

Rubik’s Cube Madness- The Clairemont Branch received some electronic Rubik’s’ Cubes to play with, create games around and send feedback to the promoter regarding the toy. The kids have become addicted to them and want to play with the new toys constantly. They play as a passing game in a circle to see how far they can get the cube to go and individually as competitions or even 2-on-2.

Silly Fun! - Our new games room director, Elianne has put together some fun activities for the fall. First we had our beard making project so the kids could see what they might look like as they get older and may choose to grow facial hair. Then she set up a treasure hunt all over the Club complete with treasure maps, clues and prizes!

Clairemont Branch Youth of the Year Shaundiin Blackgoat Shaundiin has been involved with the Club for over 9 years, participating in all activities offered. She is a positive role model for all the other members, helps wherever she sees a need and never has to be asked. She is always nice and will help any and all staff, kids, parents or volunteers as needed. Shaundiin is amazing with the younger members, kind, considerate and so respectful. Shaundiin is also a dedicated student. She maintains a 3.85 GPA and is on the principal's honor roll for her first semester in high school. Her favorite subjects are math and history. Shaundiin has been involved with dance for 3 years. She takes tap and clog. She is in a competition group and competes several times a year. At school she is on the volleyball team and year book committee.
