HAPPENING NOW AT THE CLUB

Youth of The Month - Sophia Sun is the Youth of the month for April. She was choose because she is very helpful, kind, and always has a smile on her face. Sophia has been coming to the Boys & Girls club for 3 years. She is a Jr Leader, and helps out at the club whenever she can. She helped make the sign for the snack shack, and works behind the counter selling snacks on Thursday’s. She is always seen helping others, and being a strong role model for all the younger kids. Sophia is a 7th grader at Oak Valley Middle School, and she works very hard at keeping her grades up. She enjoys math, and history. One of Sophia greatest assists is her kindness to others. She is a great example of how a Youth of the Month should be.

Youth of the Year
Genie Reyes
Genie's attitude at the club is one of what can I do; what can I get involved with; what can I do to help. She is never afraid to help another member in whatever way she can. Genie participates in all of our areas and gives her best effort. She is also very helpful when her brother, who has autism, attends the club. She is patient and loving and is a huge help in involving him in club activities. Genie's father is in the military which has provided her with a strong set of values to guide her through life. She is a wonderful role model for our members both young and old. Genie is also an accomplished athlete. She has earned her orange belt in the Club's karate program and finished second in the 2006 Summer Games swimming competition.
